Troop 77 - Striper Fever Fishing Campout

Emphasis:

This is a "fishing campout".  Lake Whitney is well known for striper fishing.  You can complete your fishing merit badge on this trip and work on other uncompleted requirements for advancement also.

The Buddy System will be used for tents and cooking buddies should have a stove, pots, and pans.  Plan on cooking your fish.  Bring fishing gear and minnows (live or lures) for stripers.

Who will land The Big One???

Our campsite is "primitive".  The showers, toilets, and water are located over one-half mile away.

 Route: From Lago Vista, east on FM 1431, north on I-35 to Belton, north on TX 317 to Valley Mills, north on TX 56 to Laguna Park, northeast on TX 22 to Lake Whitney State Park.
